Kat (she/her) graduated with a Master of Art in Counseling; Art Therapy from Adler University in 2021. Kat is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and provisionally registered Art Therapist. 

Kat uses Art therapy along with talk therapy to meet the clients in the present. With the use of creative expression one can foster personal growth, gain deeper insight, allow for more acceptance, build self-esteem, minimize stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD and other trauma related difficulties. Art Therapy can also help improve mental health and mend interpersonal relationships. Using a creative approach other modalities can be incorporated into treatment including Existential therapy, Adlerian therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, Mindfulness and grounding practices with a Person-Centered focus to best support the individual. Kat is a socially responsible practitioner and uses the creative process to improve individuals’ physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. “Creating real change in individuals’ lives through art.” 

Kat previously worked with adults, teens, children and families who have experienced trauma and/or witnessed domestic violence and is a Certified Domestic Violence Professional (CDVP). She specialized in using creative approaches to help individuals heal from traumatic events.

“My passions include art making and reading. I am a perpetual student and enjoy all aspects of learning, from exploring new art mediums to the fundamentals of human behavior. I value self-expression, reflection and finding personal meaning through art.”
