Kennis (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a graduate of Aurora University where she received her BSW and MSW with a focus in forensics. She has a background in collaborating with individuals in marginalized communities while working in police social work, addiction recovery, and community-based social work. Kennis has enjoyed working in outpatient settings with adolescents and adults while applying various therapy approaches, including person-centered, compassion-focused, mindfulness cognitive-based therapy (MCBT), solution-focused, motivational interviewing, psychoanalytic, attachment-based, and internal family systems (IFS). She provides a compassionate and safe environment for individuals living with personality and mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use disorders, life transitions, military transitions/issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues. In her free time, Kennis enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
